Building the Voyaguer Canoe : 30 Foot Voyageur Canoe coming to Laketrails Mike Daly, father of Maura Daly Camper & Guide ('77-’81, Guide & Guest Guide in ‘90’s) Built a voyageur style cedar strip canoe that was donated to Laketrails and launched in the summer of 2007. Mike has built numerous cedar strip canoes and is assisted by Tom Lynch, Guide (‘90's), Maura’s husband. Tom is no stranger to Laketrails or boat building either. He has spent summers as a Guide and Guest Guide to High School students that he teaches during the school year. Tom has also built wooden boats in the past. With seating up to 12 people this canoe will really fly. The camp director is looking forward to waterskiing behind it this summer. Thanks Mike, Tom and Maura for your generosity, time and the Voyageur canoe.
